CITYSCAPE ROUNDUP:Expect night road closures
Nighttime traffic at Warner Avenue and Magnolia Street will run into some snags this week, as utility workers block lanes on both streets.
Repairs will close lanes and left-turn pockets from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting tonight; only one lane will be open in each direction, on each street, through those hours.
Repairs are expected to last through Tuesday morning. During the days, all lanes will be open as the digging will be covered over with metal plates.

To register or for more information, contact Brent Ellison at (714) 840-6407, or e-mail [email protected].
Parking lots filled quickly over Labor Day weekend
More than 300,000 people flocked to Huntington City Beach over Labor Day Weekend, according to city reports. Parking lots filled quickly, with 12,573 cars parking in beach lots and another 8,203 at the Main Street city lot; some visitors were forced to park up to a mile inland.
Some spots were filled by those trying to save parking spaces or RV owners extending pop-outs into open spaces; such actions are illegal, and city workers informed those who tried to do so.
