Firm seeks candidates for real estate job contest

Donald Trump won’t be around to bark orders, but when the McMonigle Group kicks off its “Top Agent” competition in October, the organizers intend to make it just as intense as reality TV.

The Newport Beach real estate firm, partnered with Coldwell Banker Previews International, is seeking 10 to 15 candidates to compete for a full-time job with McMonigle. Beginning Oct. 15, the screened candidates will face off in a number of competitions, including generating sales leads, holding open houses and giving listing presentations. A single winner will be announced Nov. 12, although a number of runners-up may receive job offers from Coldwell.

Carrie Williams, a McMonigle spokeswoman, said the contest was intended for people already accomplished in the real estate field, but that the screeners would accept all applications.

“We ideally are looking for people who have real estate licenses only,” she said.

Interested parties can e-mail Bob Braun, the real estate sales trainer who is heading the program, at [email protected]. Williams recommended applying by the end of September.
