Man held after stolen items found in his truck

A 27-year-old Oceanside man was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and drug paraphernalia early Aug. 17, Lenyi said.

Michael Joseph Jahn attracted the attention of a patrolling police officer while standing outside a pickup truck near Cresta Way and Temple Hills Drive at 10:20 p.m. Aug. 16.

The suspect’s demeanor caused the officer to investigate, and a search of the truck uncovered a driver’s license, bank ATM card and GPS system allegedly stolen from a vehicle in San Marcos several days earlier.

Police also found a scale and a grinder that could be used to process marijuana for sale.

Jahn was booked and taken to Orange County Jail.

A passenger in the vehicle was not charged.
