Property owner hopes for permission to build homes
- Share via
An Anaheim Avenue property owner will face the Costa Mesa planning commission Monday to ask for permission to build five two-story, single family homes, some of which do not meet several city guidelines for design.
The three three-bedroom and two four-bedroom homes would be at 1758 through 1764 Anaheim Ave.
Planning staff recommend the commission reject the project, in part because the homes in a similar development on East Wilson Street haven’t sold well.
In both cases, people enter the homes from alleys rather than public streets, and they face commercial developments.
The planning commission meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at 77 Fair Drive.
