Costa Mesa needs cleanup volunteers Sunday
- Share via
Volunteers are invited to help paint, plant flowers and trees, pick up trash, and build fences and play areas as part of a neighborhood cleanup Sunday around Mission and El Camino drives.
Costa Mesa City Manager Allan Roeder, City Atty. Kimberly Hall Barlow and Councilwoman Katrina Foley organized the event after a May City Council decision not to move another annual city cleanup to the area.
Anyone 14 and older is welcome. Helpers will meet at 7:30 a.m. at Sonora School, 966 Sonora Road, for a continental breakfast and begin the cleanup about 8 a.m.
The event concludes at 1 p.m. with lunch provided by Skosh Monahan’s, Taco Mesa and Newport Rib Co. For information visit www.katrinafoley.com.
