Sluggers baseball camp begins Aug. 13
The Huntington Beach-based Sluggers Summer Baseball Camps will have its next session Aug. 13 to 16 at Ocean View High.
The camps are open to ages 8 to 12 and will focus on all aspects of baseball, combining team fundamentals and individualized position instruction.
The final of four summer camps will be Aug. 27 to 30.
The cost per camper is $225 for one week and $400 for two weeks of instruction.
All players should wear proper baseball attire, bring water and a sack lunch.
Ocean View High is at Warner Avenue and Gothard Street.

Lil’ Oilers Cheer camp now underway
Lil’ Oilers Cheer Camp, hosted by the Huntington Beach High cheer and dance squads, is underway at Dwyer Middle School.
The camp, which began Tuesday, is open to youngsters in kindergarten through fifth grades and will run daily from 9 a.m. to noon at Dwyer. The Huntington Beach High cheer and dance squads will teach some of their routines and invite the campers to cheer at an Oilers home varsity football game in the fall.
Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt, snacks and a framed photo of each camper with their cheerleader instructor.
