Newport Beach native Michael “Mike” Wade was elected as the new American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) National President.

He was named by the voting delegates and leaders of the 650,000 player organization in New Orleans during the National annual business meeting on May 27.

In his many years as a volunteer with the organization, Wade has established an impressive resume, holding positions varying from Regional Commissioner in Corona Del Mar to AYSO Legal Commission member to Advanced Coach and now, National President. He has also served on the AYSO National Board of Directors for two years.

“I have taken great pride in representing all players and volunteers in the Southern California area and will continue to exude that same pride as the AYSO National President,” Wade said in a press release.

Wade is also an attorney and partner at Demler, Armstrong and Rowland, LLP in Long Beach. He has also been the President of the Belcourt Homeowners Association in Newport Beach.
