Police are looking for two armed men who robbed a Costa Mesa credit union Friday morning, police said.
The two men, armed with semi-automatic handguns, robbed the Pacific Coast Credit Union, 1700 Adams Ave., at about 9:40 a.m., Sgt. Marty Carver said. The robbers ordered the manager and two clerks into the manager’s office and then tied them up, Carver said. After that, they took an undisclosed amount of money, Carver added.
No one was hurt in the attack.
Witnesses told police the stick-up lasted about 10 minutes and that the robbers fled in a black or navy blue 2007 Nissan Armada.
One robber wore a black-hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black bandana to cover most of his face. The other robber wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans with a bandana to mask his face, Carver said. Police are working to obtain the credit union’s video surveillance to gain a better description of the suspects.
