Southern California Regionals

VICTORVILLE — Orange Coast College’s Jaleh Mazaheri and Evelyn Wallace advanced to today’s Round of 16 in singles after winning on Thursday at Victorville College.

Mazaheri teamed up with Heather Morton to advance in doubles, and the OCC tandem of K.D. Doran and Evelyn Wallace also moved on to today’s Round of 16.

BASEBALL

Irvine Valley 11,COSTA MESA — Nick Rotkowitz went three for six with two RBIs and two runs and Eric Oliver hit a three-run home run, his fifth home of the year, for the Pirates in an Orange Empire Conference game.

Orange Coast 10

Cory Olson went two for four with a solo home run for OCC (24-18, 14-9 in conference), which should finish the regular season in second place in conference.

The Pirates will play their final regular-season game today at Riverside City College at 2 p.m. The playoff seedings for the Southern California Regional will be announced this weekend.
