WOMEN’S TENNIS

UC Irvine 5,NORTHRIDGE — Becky Bernhard, Jessica Broadfoot, Heide Kaloi and Ali Borowicz won in singles to keep the No. 34-ranked Anteaters undefeated in Big West Conference play Saturday at Cal State Northridge.

The tandem of Inna Agababian and Broadfood, as well as the duo of Jayme Hu and Borowicz recorded 8-4 victories for the Anteaters (19-3, 6-0 in conference).

UC Irvine concludes the regular season Wednesday at UC Riverside.

MEN’S TENNIS

UC Irvine 4, UC Santa Barbara 3SANTA BARBARA — Aaron Yovan, Mustafa Ulukan and Trevor Dobson won in singles, and the Anteaters took No. 1 and 3 doubles in a Big West Conference match Saturday.

UCI improved to 10-9, 3-0 in conference.

SOFTBALL

Vanguard 1, Biola 0Biola 6, Vanguard 4LA MIRADA — The No. 7-ranked Lions split with the No. 16-ranked Eagles in a Golden State Athletic Conference doubleheader Saturday.

Vanguard improved to 34-9, 12-4 in conference. Statistics were not available.

BASEBALL

The Master’s 9, Vanguard 3The Master’s 8, Vanguard 5SANTA CLARITA — Derek Craddock went eight for six with a double, triple and home run in the two games combined in a Golden State Athletic Conference doubleheader Saturday.

Vanguard (20-17, 15-13 in conference) was tied, 3-3, heading into the eighth inning of Game 1 before giving up six runs to The Master’s (20-21, 12-15). Luke Iverson and Craddock combined for the Lions’ only five hits.

Iverson, Craddock and freshman second baseman Keegan Freeman all had doubles in the second game.

The Lions are at Azusa Pacific in a GSAC game on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
