The following is from the daily log of the Laguna Beach Police Department from Wednesday, March 28, through Tuesday, April 3.
TUESDAY
Laguna Canyon Road: At 8:52 p.m., a Dana Point woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic accident at El Toro Road.
Laguna Canyon Road: At 4:12 p.m., a person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a traffic accident in the 600 block.
Ocean Avenue: At 3:31 p.m., a Garden Grove man was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit identity theft at a bank in the 200 block.
Ocean Avenue: At 2:10 p.m., a taxicab driver reported that his wallet had been stolen by persons he dropped off at a bar in the 200 block.
MONDAY
Aliso Beach: At 7:46 p.m., a San Clemente man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop in the 31000 block of the beach.
So. Coast Highway: At 2:38 p.m., a CD player and gym bag were reported stolen from an unlocked car in the 1000 block.
Laguna Canyon Road: At 10:51 a.m., a vehicle burglary that occurred several days prior was reported in the 2100 block.
West Street: At 10:46 a.m., a wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 31500 block.
Laguna Canyon Road: At 7:42 a.m., two vehicles were reported burglarized and a nearby business’s door shattered in the 2000 block.
SUNDAY
Pearl Street: At 5:15 p.m., a Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 1800 block of the beach.
Laguna Canyon Road: At 4:51 p.m., a vehicle and bicycle collided and a person was injured near the dog park in the 20600 block.
Cliff Drive: At 3:37 p.m., a Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 300 block.
Main Beach: At 2:25 p.m., a transient man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 100 block of the beach.
Fairview Street: At 2 p.m., an attempted burglary was reported through a front door and rear window at Hillcrest Drive.
Laguna Canyon Road: At 12:25 p.m., coin boxes were reported stolen at a batting business the previous night after a door was kicked in and the chain was cut on a storage area gate, in the 2000 block.
Coast Highway: At 11:30 a.m., a man allegedly broke keys (which were later determined to be Superglue) in two locks at a pizza restaurant, locking the employees inside, in the 30000 block.
Coast Highway: At 7:44 a.m., a safe was reported stolen in a break-in at a cosmetic surgery business in the 31000 block.
Blue Lagoon: At 2:42 a.m., an Orange man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at Coast Highway.
Forest Avenue: At 2:04 a.m., a Dana Point woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI in the 200 block.
SATURDAY
So. Coast Highway: At 11:20 p.m., a Utah man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after someone accused him of acting in a threatening manner in the 1100 block.
So. Coast Highway: At 11:38 p.m., a Laguna Niguel man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop in the 400 block.
Coast Highway: At 9:34 p.m., a man reported that someone attacked and tried to rob him in an alley at Third Avenue.
Cress Street: At 3:47 p.m., a woman pedestrian sustained a leg injury and was given medical aid after a car rolled into her in the 100 block.
So. Coast Highway: At 12:23 p.m., an accident involving a vehicle and a motorcycle was reported in the 1500 block.
Forest Avenue: At 12:34 p.m., a man was given medical aid after he was reported as being unconscious after his vehicle hit a tree at Glenneyre Street.
Canyon Acres Drive: At 12:06 p.m. smoke was reported from a multi-story residence, which was determined to be a washer/dryer fire in an outside area caused by clothing stacked beside a water heater in the 200 block.
St. Ann’s Drive: At 9:26 a.m., a 1991 Honda was reported stolen in the 400 block.
Alta Laguna Boulevard: At 9:22 a.m., several mailboxes in the neighborhood were reported knocked down the previous night in the 3100 block.
So. Coast Highway: At 7:11 a.m., a hotelier reported a guest room was broken into and a laptop and credit cards stolen in the 1400 block.
Cliff Drive: At 1:53 a.m., a Fullerton man was arrested on a drug charge after being reported as living in a vehicle in the 600 block.
FRIDAY
Ocean Avenue: At 11:11 p.m., a Chino man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 200 block.
Alta Laguna Boulevard: At 9:05 p.m., four persons were reported skateboarding around the area throwing toilet paper in the 2900 block.
Ocean Front: At 7:55 p.m., a person stamped out a fire in a box that had been placed under a vehicle in a driveway in the 2800 block.
Coast Highway: At 5:39 p.m., three men and two women reportedly defrauded an innkeeper out of $345 at a hotel in the 30800 block.
So. Coast Highway: At 4:46 p.m., a woman was reported not breathing, and a chaplain and coroner summoned, at a hotel in the 600 block.
High Drive: At 5:17 p.m., a den of baby rattlesnakes was reported in the 500 block.
Ruby Street: At 1:51 p.m., a former employee was alleged to have transferred $50,000 from a business in the 200 block.
Ocean Way: At 11:21 a.m., ID theft was reported in the 1700 block.
Forest Avenue: At 8:28 a.m., a 37-year-old man was taken to the hospital from a post office in the 300 block.
Camel Point: At 12:49 a.m., a San Clemente resident was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic stop at Coast Highway.
THURSDAY
Coast Highway: At 6:21 p.m., a 13-year-old boy was reported to have been punched in the face, sustaining a black eye, by a 14-year-old boy in the 31600 block.
Thalia Street beach: At 5:32 p.m., a man was reported to be exposing himself in the 900 block.
No. Main Beach: At 4:58 p.m., a man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 200 block of the beach.
Alta Vista Way: At 3:50 p.m., a television was reported stolen after a sliding door was forced open at a residence in the 500 block.
Virginia Park Drive: At 1:12 p.m., police held a man at gunpoint after it was reported that he had a gun — determined to be a toy — in a truck in the 600 block.
WEDNESDAY
Main Beach: At 3:46 p.m., a man was reported intoxicated and removing his clothing in the 100 block.
Coast Highway: At 2:16 p.m., a man was cited after he was discovered sleeping in a parking garage at a business in the 31700 block.
