Meet the artists

Displaying several paintings and photographs inspired by a camping trip into Arizona’s Canyon De Chelly — one of the longest continuously inhabited landscapes in the country — the Showcase Gallery will hold an artists reception tonight for the group that spent four days among the Navajo who inhabit the land.

The 14-member troupe included Orange County Fine Arts artists Marilee Stockman of Newport Beach and Roger Reading of Costa Mesa, who will be discussing their experience and their work at the event.

The free reception is from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Showcase Gallery, 3851 South Bear St., Santa Ana. Live entertainment will be provided by David Burkhart, a Native American flutist, and refreshments will be served.
