ART EXHIBIT

Newport Beach City Hall, 3300 Newport Blvd., is featuring an exhibit of paintings by artist Michaell Magrutsche titled “Transforming Public Spaces with Art Versus Décor” in its lobby. FREEDOM FROM SMOKING

Hoag Hospital Community Medicine and Pulmonary Department is offering an eight-week clinic on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. designed to help people formulate a plan to quit smoking. Participants may join at any time; new eight-week sessions begin as soon as the current one ends, and rollover time is permitted. ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, Orange Coast College, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa, is featuring an Anniversary Retrospective Gallery Exhibit in the new Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavillion.

The retrospective is divided into decades, and features photographs, books, films, videos, artifacts and more from 1940 through 2006.
