Orange Coast 70, Cypress 64

CYPRESS — Shaun Engle scored a game-high 22 points as the Pirates hung on for an Orange Empire Conference win on Wednesday.

Steve Cornett added 13 points, eight rebounds and two blocks for OCC (13-12, 4-3 in conference). Miguel Gonzalez had 11 points, five rebounds and six steals for the Pirates.

Jeff Comminey and Clinton Williams each scored 13 for Cypress (6-20, 0-8).

Orange Coast 63, Cypress 52

CYPRESS — Courtney Ford scored 20 points and was a perfect nine for nine from the free-throw line as the Pirates remained perfect in the Orange Empire Conference with the victory Wednesday.

Robin Smith added 15 points and six steals and Lindsay Allen added 10 points, five rebounds and four steals.

The Pirates improved to 23-3 and 9-0 in conference.
