HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP:Sage Hill’s Danner is red hot, scores 27 points in Lightning victory

DOWNEY — Sophomore Tierney Danner poured in a game-high 27 points to lead the Sage Hill School girls’ basketball team to a 55-54 victory over Mary Star of the Sea in the second game of pool play at the Calvary Chapel of Downey Tournament Friday.

Sophomore Morgan Hembarsky and junior Katie McKeon each had nine points for the Lightning (4-5).
