Landscaper cleans up at state contractor’s awards

Visionscape, Inc., a comprehensive design and build landscaping firm in Laguna Beach, won five state trophy awards — the most of any California landscaper — on Nov. 17 during the California Landscape Contractors Assn.’s 50th annual awards. The award ceremony took place on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.

Ruben Flores, president and owner of Visionscape, won five of the seven awards won in Orange County:

First place for installation for a residential estate unlimited or a single-family residence with landscaping costs greater than $750,000. This award was won for an ocean-view Laguna Beach estate.

First place for lighting.

First place for a small residential estate for maintenance. This award recognized a Laguna Beach estate with a French country landscape with potager and ocean-view terraces.

Achievement award for a Laguna Beach medium residential estate for maintenance with monthly contracts between $751 — $1,500.

Achievement award for a large residential estate for maintenance with monthly contracts greater than $1,501. This was won for a detailed French contemporary landscape and estate located in Newport Coast.
