COLLEGE ROUNDUP:OCC routs Warriors

TORRANCE — Freshman Katie Kissee scored 14 points to lead the Orange Coast College women’s basketball team to its eighth straight win — a 76-42 nonconference victory over El Camiono on Wednesday night.

Orange Coast (9-2) played most of the second half without leading scorer Courtney Ford who fouled out five minutes into the second half with nine points.

Ford finished with nine points.

Sophomore Robin Smith and freshman Brittany Taylor scored 13 points each for the Pirates. Freshman Barney added 11 points for Orange Coast.

The Pirates return to action Monday, when they will play host to the Coast Christmas Classic, the tournament that will go through Wednesday.
