GOLF TOURNEY RAISED
MONEY FOR FORGASH
NEWPORT BEACH — A golf tournament earlier last month at Newport Beach Golf Course raised more than $30,000 for U.S. Marine Sgt. Jason Forgash, who was seriously wounded in Iraq.
Forgash, 37, whose wife is struggling to pay the mortgage, is in a Maryland hospital, where he’s being treated after a bullet tore out much of his stomach. Forgash, a sergeant for the La Habra Police Department, was fed water and food through a tube for 14 weeks.
Forgash is hoping to attend a cocktail reception honoring him on Dec. 19 at Newport Beach Golf Course at 5 p.m.
Anyone interested in making a donation can send checks payable to Maria Forgash and mail them to Keith Wyrick at 18992 Florida #A-5, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.
