Multifaceted design store opens
Stan and Glennis Breckenridge, Laguna Beach residents, will host the grand opening of their new store, Liberal Latitudes, Saturday, Dec. 9, from 4-9 p.m., at 1968 S. Coast Highway.
Following their return last year from living in Poland, where Stan served as a Fulbright Scholar, the couple decided to open a retail store displaying their and others artistic talents.
Glennis designs and makes jewelry, fabric arts, sculptures, and stationary cards.
With a Ph.D. in musicology, Stan is an author with two books on the market, and is a performing and recording artist (voice and piano) with three current CDs. He will offer customers the opportunity to have their poetry set to original music.
Stan also makes small wood furnishings and tongue drums using exotic hardwoods.
Their daughter, Diana, designs an array of personalized stationary cards.
