Approved without comment:
UNDERGROUND DISTRICT UNDERWAY
The City Council adopted by a vote of 5-0 resolutions declaring its intent to form an Underground Utility Assessment District to include Cerritos and Dunning drives, Rimrock, Upper Rimrock and Terrace Way and approving the preliminary engineer’s report. A public meeting to receive comments on the report is tentatively scheduled for the Oct. 17 council meeting. The final report is tentatively scheduled to be approved by the council at the Nov. 21. Property owners in the district will be mailed ballots.
WHAT IT MEANS
The assessment district must be approved by a simple majority of property owners or the plan will be abandoned and the city will be responsible for costs to date.
