S & R Sport Southern California Invitational

IRVINE — Newport Harbor defeated Davis and Miramonte to advance to today’s semifinals against Harvard-Westlake at 12:10 p.m. at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center.

The Sailors (10-2) beat Davis, 16-4, then collected a 7-6, double-overtime win over Miramonte. Collin Sherman, Blake Hockenbury and Clint Jorth scored five total goals each. Sherman connected on the game-winner against Miramonte in the second overtime period.

Goalies Myles Christian (12 saves) and Bryce McLain (10) also contributed.

IRVINE — Corona del Mar scored wins over Jesuit and Clovis West to advance to today’s semifinals against Servite at 1:15 p.m at the So Cal Invitational.

The Sea Kings defeated Jesuit, 13-8, and Clovis West, 8-7. Mike Berry scored eight total goals and Ryan Hultman seven in the two games.

Brian Peotter recorded 17 saves in the two games. The Sea Kings outscored Clovis West, 2-1, in the fourth quarter to reach today’s semifinals.

COSTA MESA — Danielle Morton had nine kills in the Mustangs’ loss, 25-21, 25-15, 25-6, in an Orange Coast League opener Friday.

Renee Nutter added 12 assists for the Mustangs (4-5).

Sage Hill def. Oxford Academy

NEWPORT COAST — Colleen Hyler and Lindsey Kish recorded nine kills each in the Lightning’s 25-15, 25-13, 25-20 Academy League victory Friday night.

Mackenzie Bronk added six aces for Sage Hill (5-11, 1-1 in league).
