SEPTEMBERFRIDAY: The Balboa Bay Republican Women Federated will hold an event with guest Julia Argyros, wife of the former U. S. ambassador to Spain, at the Village Crean at 2300 Mesa Drive in Newport Beach. The event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets to the event, which helps to fund the scholarship program, are $45 and include a one-year membership to Balboa Bay Republican Women Federated. The event is open, but because of limited seating, reservations are only being accepted in writing accompanied by a check for $45. SATURDAY: There will be a grand opening of Newport Harbor Republican Women headquarters with guest Rep. Dana Rohrabacher. The event will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at the headquarters at 400 W. Coast Highway in Newport Beach. RSVP to Lee Frodsham at (949) 837-0278 or by e-mail at [email protected].
OCTOBER3: The Orange County’s Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse will hold a reception and luncheon with guest state Sen. Tom McClintock, who is running for lieutenant governor. The reception begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon at the Center Club, 650 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. The cost is $55 with reservations (includes valet parking) or $65 at the door, if available. For reservations and information, call (714) 259-8400 or e-mail maryann@ maryannmaloney.com. This educational activity provides one hour of Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit.
10: A reception will be held for Orange County Treasurer-elect Chriss Street with guest, Supervisor-elect John Moorlach, the former county treasurer.
