Man pleads guilty to flashing local teens

A San Clemente man pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges that he exposed himself to teenage girls in Newport Beach and Irvine in March, officials said.
Paul Charles Dishno, 39, also pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography found on his computer.
Dishno could face up to five years in prison, but based on a plea agreement he will likely receive six months in jail and probation, Deputy Dist. Atty. Kelly Grogan said.
“I am happy with the fact that he is going to be incarcerated,” Grogan said. “Part of what is good about it [the guilty plea] is that he has accepted responsibility and that the girls would not be re-victimized … by having to come to court to testify.”
Dishno will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
One day after allegedly exposing himself to six school girls across the street from an Irvine elementary school, Dishno allegedly followed two Newport Beach girls into a park and masturbated in front of them, police said.
Grogan said the victims and their parents have been cooperative in working with police. The Newport Beach girls, both 14, were taking photos of themselves when Dishno appeared on the trail. They provided police with the pictures they had taken, some of which showed Dishno in the background.
Dishno, a private contractor working for Cox Communications, was working at several job sites in Newport Beach and Irvine near the areas where he allegedly exposed himself, Grogan said.
After his arrest, police found numerous child pornography photos and videos on Dishno’s computer.
Dishno is scheduled to be sentenced at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 10 at Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach. The court will hear statements from victims before Dishno is sentenced, Grogan said.
