The Costa Mesa Police Department will take on South Coast Plaza Security in the first Police vs. Security Softball Game at Carl Thornton Park in Santa Ana. PIONEER OPENING
Pioneer, the electronics store specializing in home entertainment products, will open its first U.S. store at South Coast Plaza this weekend. Chris Rose and John Salley, of Best Damn Sports Show Period, will be on hand from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to greet fans, and shoppers will be able to sit and watch high definition sports programming in one of eight locations set up within the store. Pioneer will also feature a slot machine made from plasma televisions, and guests will be able to try their luck at winning prizes that include Pioneer home theater systems. The Pioneer store is located on the lower level near Saks Fifth Avenue.
