Chris Osborn, who helped lead Scottsdale Christian Academy to two Arizona state high school championships, has signed a scholarship agreement with the UC Irvine men’s basketball program.
Osborn, a 6-foot-7 guard, attended Air Force Academy Prep School last year.
He capped his high school career in 2004-05 by earning first-team all-state recognition. As a senior, he averaged 13 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Christian Academy amassed a 31-2 record that season.
Osborne’s top single-game scoring output was 27 points.
“Chris is very athletic and he is an explosive offensive player,” UCI Coach Pat Douglass said. “As he gains physical maturity, he could become one of our better offensive players who can play above the rim.”
