Bullfrogs impress in two wins

The Bullfrogs collected a pair of impressive victories in recent Wales Division action at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Bullfrogs 11, Surf City Sykos 3

The Bullfrogs jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one quarter and cruised to victory.

Blake Miller scored four goals to lead the offensive onslaught. James Williams and Craig Wellander each scored twice and Luis Concepcion, Matthew Williams and Jason Callanan each added a goal.

Callanan led the team in assists with three and Wellander, Concepcion, Miller and Matthew Williams each had an assist.

Tyler Allen recorded 13 saves.

J.J. Millikan had a goal and assist and Alex McCabe and Trevor Millikan each had a goal for the Sykos.

Jason Ferrall finished with 25 saves.

Bullfrogs 7, Fighting Saints 2

The Bullfrogs again took an early lead — 4-1 after one quarter — in recording their second win of the day.

Blake Miller led the scoring charge, this time with four goals and an assist. James Williams scored twice and Craig Wellander had a goal.

Matthew Williams had an assist and Tyler Allen picked up 16 saves.

Tropical Penguins 6, Thrashers 3

Garrick Langer netted three goals and assisted two others as the Tropical Penguins got past the Thrashers.

Joshua Fowler had a goal and assist, Bryan Perez and Jeff Perez each scored once and Kevin Kurz had an assist to complete the Tropical Penguins’ offensive output.

Jonathan Cao had 20 saves. Ellis Weaver, Michael Thomas and Gregory Hancock scored goals for the Thrashers.
