The Daily Pilot asked students in Erik Nelsen’s Ocean Adventures camp, “What’s the key to being a good surfer?”

“You actually have to like the sport of surfing because there’s a lot of work to it. When waves break and you want to get further out, you’ve got to have a lot of arm strength to paddle through the waves.”
