Lemmerman All-CIF

Corona del Mar High junior shortstop Jake Lemmerman was named first-team All-CIF Southern Section Division III by section coaches.

Lemmerman, a first-team All-Pacific Coast League selection, batted .429 with four home runs and 25 RBIs to help lead the Sea Kings to a share of the league tri-championship.

He led the team in hits (36), homers and RBIs, as well as runs (29) and slugging percentage (.667).

He had six doubles and a triple to go with his four round-trippers.

The Newport-Mesa Player of the Year also played stellar defense, making just three errors in 26 games.

With Lemmerman leading the way, Coach John Emme’s young Sea Kings squad finished 17-9, 8-4 in the Pacific Coast League.

Corona del Mar fell, 2-0, at Westminster in the first round of the CIF Division III playoffs.
