It just starts with surfers
If extreme sports are your thing, then bank on being in Huntington Beach in late July.
The Bank of the West Beach Games, an annual exhibition of extreme sports, features one of the biggest surfing contests in the United States, the Honda U.S. Open of Surfing Presented by O’Neill.
The event runs from July 24 to 30.
Although the waves aren’t always the best, hundreds of thousands of people are expected to descend on Huntington Beach for this popular contest that often draws some of the biggest names in surfing. The Hobgood brothers and Chris Ward have already committed to this year’s contest, and other pros such as Taj Burrows, Rob Machado and Andy Irons could make likely returns.
