Speech team gets title

Orange Coast College’s speech team brought home the school’s 10th state title from the California Community College Speech and Debate Tournament March 19 at the Corwne Plaza Hotel in Concord. The team will advance to the National Community College and Debate Tournament, to be held April 9 to 16 in Kansas City, Mo.

More than 500 speakers from 75 community colleges will attend the national championships. OCC has won six national titles in the past.
