Water district projects to affect Laguna Canyon Road
Two projects in motion by the County Water District are expected to affect traffic on Laguna Canyon Road until the end of May or early June, district engineer Jim Nestor said.
Construction for the projects will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to avoid conflicts with rush hour, Nestor said.
The first project will replace a cast-iron pipe underground in front of the Festival of the Arts area.
The second project will involve building a parallel water pipe between Castle Rock and Philips roads to be used by the fire department in the event of an emergency. Construction is expected to begin next week, Nestor said.
The water district is also placing two fire hydrants on the west side of Laguna Canyon Road.
