Want to help with high school principal search?

The school district is inviting parents and the community to share their opinions regarding the search for a new Laguna Beach High School principal from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the K Turner Library on the high school campus.

The parent/community input session will be conducted by educational search consultant Frank Cosca.

Learn more about child-rearing at seminar

The school district will hold a seminar on “Parents Do Make A Difference: Raising Kids with Strong Character, Strong Mind, and A Caring Heart” from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 9 at the Thurston Middle School’s Black Box Theater.

Guest speaker, Michele Borba will help parents identify eight traits that contribute to their child’s academic and personal success.

Borba has written 19 books, has received the National Educator Award and has appeared on national TV and radio shows.
