Mustangs run the table again
COSTA MESA -- The Costa Mesa High girls’ soccer team concluded its fourth consecutive undefeated Golden West League season with a 5-0 victory over Orange on Thursday.
Sharon Frazier notched her third hat trick of the season for the Mustangs. Mikyla Lux and Kyla Flores had goals and Jasmin Day added two assists for Costa Mesa, which outscored league opponents, 249-9, in four seasons.
Katie Finn made three saves to record her 15th shutout of the season, Costa Mesa’s last in the Golden West League.
Next season, Costa Mesa (16-3-2, 12-0 in league) moves to the Orange Coast League with Estancia, Laguna Beach and Santa Ana Calvary Chapel.
