D.A.: $66,000 owed

The three young men convicted of sexually assaulting a teenager at a 2002 Corona del Mar house party should pay the victim more than $66,000 in restitution, according to a brief filed Friday by Deputy Dist. Atty. Brian Gurwitz.

The defendants, Greg Haidl, Kyle Nachreiner and Keith Spann, all 20, will be sentenced March 10.

The victim, known only as Jane Doe, filed a civil suit against the three in December. Jane Doe is seeking $26 million in damages.

The restitution fee, which would compensate Jane Doe and her parents for $21,150 in therapy expenses, also includes money for drug rehab for Jane Doe.

“As the probation report and trial evidence establish, Jane Doe’s drug use spiraled out of control following the crimes that occurred in this case,” Gurwitz wrote in the brief.
