Lions go overtime again for a victory

AZUSA -- Levi Seekins made a pair of three-pointers in overtime as Vanguard held on to win a Golden State Athletic Conference men’s basketball game, 81-80, over Azusa Pacific on Tuesday.
It was Vanguard’s second overtime win in its last three games.
Seekins’ three-pointer with 1:21 remaining in the extra period put the Lions (12-8, 6-4 in conference) up by one point. Azusa Pacific had chances to tie or go ahead, but missed two shots and a free throw in the final seconds.
Seekins, who sent the game into overtime with a layup with one second remaining in regulation, finished with a game-high 28 points. Horace Wormely added 22 points, 11 assists and six rebounds.
