Youngsters invited to Methodist Church for Christmas Eve procession. The Laguna Beach United Methodist Church is inviting local residents to participate in a Christmas Eve nativity program. The Every Child Nativity Pageant allows all children in the community to be part of a celebration of the procession to Bethlehem to greet the baby Jesus.
“Being in the Nativity Pageant is a childhood memory we think all children should have,” said Camille Mattick, children’s and youth minister. “In our pageant, children may choose whatever they want to be -- shepherd, angel, wise man -- and then dress in that costume and join the other children in the procession to the manger.”
This special children’s service will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24. Parents are encouraged to bring their children 15 to 20 minutes ahead of time so they can choose their costume.
Christmas services for adults will be at 7:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.
Laguna Beach United Methodist Church is at 21632 Wesley Drive, across from the Montage Resort.
