high school roundupCORONA DEL MAR -- Junior Katie Indvik and senior Ashley Chandler both tallied three goals to lead the Corona del Mar High girls’ water polo team to an 11-8 season-opening victory against Arlington of Riverside on Saturday.

The Lions tied the score at five in the fourth period before the Sea Kings (1-0) rattled off six goals to notch the final score.

Corona del Mar, ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section Division II, visits Long Beach Wilson, ranked No. 7 in CIF Division I, at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at Belmont Plaza.
