Horror of the dress code
So, Corona del Mar High School has tightened up its dress code this year, going so far as using old Grad Nite T-shirts to cover students who aren’t meeting the appropriate decorum. Enforcement is the buzzword under new principal Fal Asrani, who didn’t come up with the policy herself. She merely gave it teeth.
The horror!
The dress code -- for those fortunate enough not to be suffering through the long, crazy four years known as high school -- prohibits big baggy pants, bare midriffs, spaghetti straps, halter tops, plunging necklines and miniskirts. In other words, most of the clothes that anyone who is suffering through those years wants to wear.
Of course, this dress code policy could end up backfiring on the district. All it will take is the T-shirts showing up on “The OC” and becoming the attire du jour.
That would really be the horror!
