Wall organizer Greg Crook said individuals, families and businesses have an opportunity to purchase small tiles for $250 and large ones for $1,500. Proceeds will help the school fill its technology needs, said Michael O’Brien, president of the Huntington Beach High School Foundation.

“This is for the benefit of the kids,” said O’Brien, who graduated from the school in 1979.

The football game is expected to attract a standing-room-only crowd, Crook said. School principal Dave Linzey said alumni attendance could bring in an extra 1,000 people, for a total of around 7,000 spectators.

Halftime activities will include 10 former homecoming queens, who will be flown in on a private helicopter. A fireworks show and a parade of 10 classic Model T Fords will also be on the agenda.

The postgame party will include a live band and dancing.

The school will continue its centennial celebrations with a band concert in the spring.
