Smooth start at high
The year has started off with a bang.
We held our second meeting Thursday night, too late to be included
in this edition.
During the first meeting, we had a report from Principal Nancy
Blade, who spoke about how easy the start of the year had been, even
with many new staff members and the highest enrollment the school has
seen.
She said she was delighted to report that the teachers had been
able to dive right into the curriculum, and it seemed as if they had
been in school for months instead of weeks.
This was a very positive report, and I am pleased that along with
a winning football team, we are having a winning school year.
Other calendar events include the PSAT (Saturday); homecoming
football game (Nov. 4); and homecoming dance (Nov. 5).
I will also mention that the Park Avenue Players will be
performing Romeo and Juliet in November.
As the election of Nov. 8 looms, I want to let you know that the
4th District (our region) and the state PTA have taken a position of
voting no on Proposition 76.
Whatever your views are, please make them known by going to the
polls.
