BID TO YOUR ART’S DESIRE AT AUCTION

The Orange County Museum of Art is holding its Benefit Art Auction

2005 Thursday to support the museum’s education and outreach

programs.

The event includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment

and original artwork chosen by the museum’s curatorial team.

Attendees can bid on original works of art valued between $500 and

$25,000.

Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a silent auction. The live

auction will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets for the auction are $75 for

museum members and $100 for nonmembers.

THESE T-BIRDS AREN’T FOR DRIVING

UC Irvine’s 40th anniversary celebration continues with a concert

by the Fabulous Thunderbirds. The performance is scheduled to begin

at 5 p.m. on the Commencement Lawn at Aldrich Park, which is located

in the center of the UC Irvine campus.

Admission and parking after 4 p.m. will be free. For more
