NEW FIRE CHIEFS UNIT CONTRACT
The City Council approved a new one-year contract with the Chief
Officers Unit of Burbank Fire Fighters Local No. 778.
WHAT IT MEANS
The contract calls for a 4.5% salary increase for the five
battalion chiefs and one fire marshal.
The current monthly salary range for those positions ranges from
$8,822 to $10,718. With the increase that range will go up to $9,219
to $11,200.
The increase will cost the city’s general fund $47,700.

STARLIGHT BOWL FUNDS
The council approved a resolution to amend the city’s 2005-06
budget to appropriate $47,500 for operating expenses at the Starlight
Bowl outdoor entertainment venue.
WHAT IT MEANS
The money comes from corporate sponsors for the bowl’s summer
season and from a banner program publicizing the sponsors and pays
for the popular summer concert series.
