A memorial service for former Costa Mesa resident Arthur Taylor

was held Saturday at Harbor Lawn-Mount Olive Memorial Park in Costa

Mesa.

Born in Ohio, Mr. Taylor lived in Orange County for 53 years,

where he was a welder for a car wash manufacturing company. Mr.

Taylor died Sept. 14 of cancer. He was 86.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his daughter, Carol Sinon, and his

companion, Barbara Bowers.

Gary Schaumburg

A memorial service for former Newport Beach resident Gary

Schaumburg will be held at 2 p.m. today at St. James Church in

Newport Beach, with a graveside service to follow at Pacific View

Memorial Mark in Corona del Mar.

Born in Los Angeles, Mr. Schaumburg lived for 44 years in Newport

Beach, where he was a professor. Mr. Schaumburg died Sept. 15. He was

67.

Mr. Schaumburg is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his sons, Gary,

Chris and Nick; his brothers, Steven and Douglas; and his sister,

Linda.
