Rattlers rally to playoff win

The Rattlers overcame a one-goal deficit by scoring four times in the
third period to pull out a 6-5 victory over the Skulls in a Norris
Division playoff game at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in
Huntington Beach.
Matthew Chism was responsible for the comeback, scoring all four
of the Rattlers’ goals in the final period. His first two tallies
came on assists from Aron Wong.
Wong had scored the first two goals for the Rattlers, both
unassisted.
Savannah Patton came up with 14 saves in the victory.
Sean Cullinane scored a pair of goals to lead the Skulls on
offense.
Dallas Borski had a goal and assist, Kaylyn DeJongh and Patrick
Baikie each scored once, and Paige Gast had an assist.
Sam Prizler finished with 13 saves.
In other Norris Division playoff action:
Blades 7, Gladiators 6
Cody Sizemore scored the winning goal late in the third period as
the Blades held off a furious charge by the Gladiators. Trailing by a
score of 5-1 heading into the third period, the Gladiators scored
five times to nearly pull out the win.
Brandon Sizemore, Shane Williams and Travis Hunter each scored two
goals for the Blades. Williams, Cody Sizemore and Tyler Wilford each
had an assist.
Ben Sumner scored three goals -- including the last of four during
the third-period comeback -- to pace the Gladiators.
Jake Grothjan, Andrew Schenker and Michael Kramer also scored for
the Gladiators. Jessica Baltazar had 13 saves.
Wasabi 7, Thunder Blades 4
Wasabi never trailed in eliminating the Thunder Blades from
postseason play.
Evan Hess and Adam Hess each scored twice for Wasabi, with single
goals going to Dylan Rodriguez, Kevin Piscopo and Nick Panchak.
Nick Panchak and Evan Hess each had two assists, and David Panchak
had 14 saves in goal.
William Huffman scored twice to lead the Thunder Blades, and
Johnny Richardson and Evelyn Weaver each had one goal.
Andrew Huffman had an assist and Joshua Fowler recorded 21 saves.
