NEWPORT-MESA UNIFIED
SCHOOL DISTRICT

Costa Mesa
All students, parents and employees of the district are invited to
contribute to the annual pledge drive, held to benefit the hurricane
victims this year. District offices are open Monday through Friday
from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

ORANGE COAST COLLEGE

Costa Mesa
A collection table for the American Red Cross is set up in the
campus quad Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cash and
checks will be accepted; make checks payable to “OCC Foundation
Hurricane Relief.”

ORANGE COAST INTERFAITH SHELTER

Costa Mesa
Visitors may bring donations to the front office every day between
9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Make checks out to Orange Coast Interfaith Shelter,
but write “Hurricane Katrina” on the check.
Funds will go to the Salvation Army and other community groups.

Donations will be accepted during Sunday services at 8:30 a.m. and
10:15 a.m., and Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cash
and checks will most likely be forwarded to World Vision.

ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

Donations will be taken during Sunday mass services at 8 a.m.,
9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Cash, checks and credit
will be accepted. Make checks payable to St. John the Baptist Roman

The university’s athletics department will accept cash and checks
for the American Red Cross at the following sporting events this
week: women’s soccer on Sunday at 1 p.m.; men’s soccer on Monday at

The center, working with Giving Children Hope International, is
