BURBANK PUBLIC LIBRARY LITERACY SERVICES

The Burbank Public Library is looking for volunteer tutors who can

provide one-to-one tutoring in basic reading skills to adults who

speak and understand English but read and write below an eight grade

level. Volunteer tutors meet twice a week for a minium of six months

with an adult learner. Must be 18 years or older. For more

BURBANK PUBLIC LIBRARY YOUTH LITERACY

The Burbank Public Library is looking for volunteer “Ready to

Read” tutors who can tutor children 9 through 12 years old. Tutoring

will take place twice-a-week, one hour per session, Monday through

Friday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Burbank Central Library, 110 N.

Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank. Workshops will be offered Sept. 1 from 3 to

7 p.m.; Sept. 6 and Sept. 8 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Burbank Public

Library Auditorium.

THE COLONY THEATRE

The Colony Theatre in Burbank is looking for a volunteer

coordinator. The person must be friendly, accommodating and organized

with excellent communication skills and plenty of free time to help.
