PARKINSON’S RESOURCE ORGANIZATION
Parkinson’s Resource Organization hosts a support group meeting
for caregivers, adult children and family members of loved ones with
Parkinson’s. The next meeting, featuring Marilyn Van Sant who guides
participants through positive discussions of caregiver issues and
responsibilities, will be held at 7 p.m. at the Oasis Senior Center,
800 Marguerite Ave., Corona del Mar. Information: (949) 645-3352.

COSTA MESA SENIOR CENTER
The Costa Mesa Senior Center is located at 695 19th St. West,

Ballroom dancing, featuring live music by Betty’s Trio, is from
7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. every Tuesday. Cost is $4.
Functional senior fitness class -- designed to maintain the
ability to successfully perform activities of daily living and to
improve or enhance functional capacity in terms of strength,
flexibility and posture -- is held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. every
Wednesday.
Low impact aerobics -- designed to fit the personal health and
fitness needs of older adults -- is held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. every
Monday and Friday.
OASIS SENIOR CENTER
The Oasis Senior Center is located at 800 Marguerite Ave., Corona

Walking group meets once a week at Oasis Senior Center to enjoy
scenic walks in and around the Newport Beach area.
Chair exercise is offered Mondays. This class is deigned to
increase muscular strength and improve posture and mobility.
Drama Workshop for actors and aspiring actors meets at Oasis every
Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Practice, learn and have fun.
Longevity stick class meets every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Oasis.
This form of exercise is similar to T’ai Chi, and its gentle
movements promote physical fitness and mental relaxation.
A T’ai Chi class is now offered every Friday from 10 a.m. to 11
a.m. This free class offers better balance and improved flexibility
of joints and muscles.
