A memorial service for former Newport Beach resident J. Scott

Hornsby will be held at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at Pacific View Memorial

Park in Corona del Mar.

Born in St. Louis, Mr. Hornsby lived in Newport Beach for 45

years, where he was owner of AA Flag & Banner. Mr. Hornsby died Aug.

18 of natural causes. He was 98.

Mr. Hornsby is survived by his daughters, Daryl King and Christy

Kinney; his stepdaughter, Marylee Chipman; his stepsons, John Caster,

Erik Matthews, William Hopkins and Robert Hopkins; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Andrew William Glassell

A memorial service for former Newport Beach resident Andrew

Glassell will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pacific View Memorial

Park in Corona del Mar.

A retired salesman, Mr. Glassell died Aug. 16 of natural causes.

He was 88.

Mr. Glassell is survived by his sons, Andrew Glassell VII and John

Glassell; his daughters-in-law, Patricia Glassell and Lorraine

Glassell; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
