John Lewis, of Huntington Beach, and his 1957 Chevy Bel-Air won
second place in Best of Show at the Strawberry Sunday Funfest and
Classic Car Show held May 22 at the Orange County Market Place. Lewis
received a trophy and a $200 cash prize.
Christopher S. Brannan, of Huntington Beach, was named to the
spring semester dean’s list at Bucknell University. Brannan, the son
of James and Kathleen Brannan, was a graduate of Edison High School.
To receive dean’s list recognition, a student must earn a grade point
average of 3.5 or higher.
Megan Clare Bowers, of Huntington Beach, was named to the spring
semester dean’s list at the University of Wyoming. Undergraduates
with a grade point average of 3.4 or above and freshmen students with
a GPA of 3.25 or higher earn a spot on the school’s honor roll.
