Carolin Botzenhardt, vice president of Private Wealth Management’s
German American business group, has relocated to the Orange County
office of Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management in Costa Mesa.
Botzenhardt, a La Jolla resident, has experience in both the
European and U.S. markets. As a wealth advisor, she helps identify
individuals’ needs and offers a variety of products and services that
best suit the client.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management,
Botzenhardt was employed as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley
Dean Witter in San Diego. She earned her bachelor’s degree at UC San
Diego and her master’s degree in international business management
from Graduate School of International Relations Pacific Rim Studies
at UC San Diego.
Kellie Abbott and Satya Twena, both of Newport Beach, were awarded
bachelor’s degrees at Wellesley College on June 3.
Abbott, daughter of Anna Abbott-Marciniak and Timothy Abbott,
majored in art history and minored in religion and will be living in
Weston, Mass., for the summer while she works at the Davis Museum and
Cultural Center, conducting provenance research on the museum’s
collections. After the summer internship, she will travel to Spain to
undertake the Camino de Santiago and begin an independent research
project before returning to Newport Beach.
Twena, daughter of Yacov and Pamela Grau Twena, double majored in
psychology and women’s studies and will be living in New York City,
planning events.
Both women attended Newport Harbor High School, where they played
varsity soccer together.
Kari Hammerschmitt, daughter of Vonna Hammerschmitt, graduated
from UC Santa Barbara on June 12 with a degree in law and society.
She is a Corona del Mar High School graduate, and her mother lives in
Newport Beach.
Marine Corps Pvt. Matthew W. Carter, son of Mike V. Carter of
Costa Mesa, recently completed 12 weeks of recruit training at Marine
Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego. The training is designed to
challenge new Marine recruits both physically and mentally.
Carter and other recruits also received instruction on the Marine
Corps’ core values -- honor, courage and commitment and what the core
values mean in guiding personal and professional conduct.
